Hi there!

This is my 1st post and I have to admit I am a little nervous about opening myself up to others in the wide world of blogging. But, a friend suggested creating a blog to help with motivation and accountability, so here I am. My journey began when I finally got tired of buying a bigger size when I went clothes shopping and always feeling insecure about my body, and having a set of surgeries that kept me for doing any type of exercise for 2 years. I have always been interested in weight training so I decided to take that step and join a gym at the encouragement of a good friend who was training for a fitness competition.I'll admit it has not always been easy I currently weigh 234 and have bounced back and forth between 200 and 235 at 5'5" (whew!! that was hard to type) due to over eating, indulging in junk food, lacking the motivation to stay on track at the gym. Currently I am trying to get back on track with my eating and working out but with any up coming surgery I think I am going to concentrate on my eating for the next 6-12 weeks until I can get back into the gym. So for now that is me and this is the beginning of my journey to get fit!!!
